LUIS A. ECHEGOLLEN

 

Luis Arturo Echegollen is a young and talented musician, who studied in the YAMAHA Academy in Cuernavaca, where he was a disciple of the great drummer and teacher Abundio López Ramírez. Graduating from the YAMAHA Academy in Insurgentes in Mexico City, he continued his musical studies in "Del Rock a la Palabra" music school. He graduated from the composition and musical production course given by Arscite (Mexico City).

In 2011, at the age of fifteen, Luis won an internation competition from the prestigious drummer John Wackerman and the TV channel "Drum Channel" (From Oxnard, California, USA), to appear in the DVD released on november 2014 called "John Wackerman Drum Duets Vol. 2, for which he recorded a duet with John, appearing alongsideinternationally recognized drummers such as Terry Bozio, Dennis Chambrers, Marco Minnemann, Thomas Lang, Taylor Hawkins, Brooks, Chad Wackerman & Travis Barker, amongst others.

He is the producer of the band's HQ, Metanoia Records. He is also responsible of mixing and mastering Aryem's material.

Luis's main influences are Marco Minnemann, Gavin Harrison, Neil Peart and the legendary Bernard Buddy Rich.

Luis enjoys videogames and doing tech-related things in his spare time (fixing many of the band's mobiles a number of times). He loves collecting Bionicle figures and watching E-SPORTS.
